NEUROPHYSIOLOGY OF CONSCIOUS VISUAL PERCEPTION
Brains are the only known objects in the universe that can give rise to an “Inner World”, filled with sensations, feelings and emotion.
The aim of our research team is to increase our scientific understanding of this intriguing phenomenon by determinining the neural mechanisms that give rise to our subjective experience during visual perception.
We approach these questions, using a wide array of neuroscientific techniques that range from whole-brain activity maps down to single neuron responses. Learn more about each of these methods by clicking on the links on the right.
